100th Anniversary Committee

If you are planning to be away on vacation this summer, and are a user of weekly envelopes, we encourage you to include those envelopes for those weeks you will be absent from the parish.  We depend on your regular contributions to maintain our weekly, ongoing expenses.

Remember, postdated cheques can be used anytime in the collection basket or by the Pre-Authorized Giving Plan.  Support can now be automatic through a pre-authorized giving plan available to our parish.  Brochures are available at the entrance of the church and at the parish office.  To participate please complete the authorization form.  Forms may be returned in the collection basket next week or mailed to the parish office.  Thank you for your continued, generous support!

Taste of the Danforth

Takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (August 9th, 10th & 11th).  We are planning to open the church to the public for visitation during the afternoons of Saturday and Sunday like we did last year. In order for this to take place in an orderly fashion and with the proper respect we will need volunteers from the parish to act as tour guides and ushers.  Tour guides to answer questions about the church and ushers to maintain control over what is appropriate in the church and what is left outside.  Times would most likely be limited to 1 pm – 4 pm on Saturday and 2-4 pm on Sunday.  There will be a meeting of interested persons to discuss what will be expected of you.  We have a “self guided tour brochure” to make this open house a more meaningful experience.  Over one million people attend the Taste of the Danforth and this would be a good opportunity for our church and our faith community to stand front and centre and open and welcoming.  If you are interested in participating in this open house, please contact the parish office.
