Welcome to Holy Name
Thank you for worshipping with us today.
Please visit our website www.holynametoronto.com for more detailed information on the parish and our faith.
In these last weeks of Ordinary Time at the end of the liturgical year, the Church reminds us that this world will come to an end, and that our call is to be watchful and ready. Often, however, our attention is drawn to the suffering and evil that will mark the end. These readings also invite us to pay attention to the signs of life. God is working out his glory in the new leaves of spring as much as in the dark of night. Every generation sees the violence, evil and suffering in the world, and wonders if it might be the end. It doesn’t matter if we are the last generation or not. We are called to be watchful and ready, proclaiming light to all who wander in the dark. We are called to be prophets of light and hope in the midst of the suffering our friends, families and neighbours are living now, all around us.
Please pray for all who are ill, especially
Delores Gordon, Myrna Anacta, Liz Lawlor, Maria Carmo, Donna MacIntosh, Deacon Hugh Taylor, Sophia Karapita, Heather Tobias, Carmela Morra, Maria Soares, Laura MacDonald, Patricia Cull and Maria Jose Bouey.
